Attend the world premiere of "All in the Same Boat," stories about breast cancer survivors, sponsored by WLRN, at one of Miami's hottest and trendiest downtown spots. You'll help raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Month! There will be a great silent auction and other fun surprises, plus complimentary Nuvo, Polar Beer and food. Music will be provided by EP Entertainment. Tickets are just $35 and benefit Save Our Sisters DBT, Inc., a nonprofit charity. They are available at the door or from any SOS team member. Friday night from 7-10pm at the awesome Dorsch Gallery in Wynwood, we’re having an art supply drive to collect new and/or gently used supplies for the children of Escuelita de Nosara in Costa Rica. Clean out your closet, your studio, your workspace and de-stash your stash! Think paper, pencils, markers, glitter, fabric, findings, brushes – be creative! John Martin's Restaurant & Irish Pub is hosting a week-long celebration to commemorate their 20th year anniversary. During the week of September 21- 27, guests will enjoy daily food and drink specials, live entertainment, prizes and promotions.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 will feature Prizes for Karaoke Night starting at 9:30 p.m. with the top three Best Singers winning. Judging will be done by the audience.
Thursday, Sept. 24 is Comedy Night, starting at 10 p.m. with prizes to the Best Comedian. Again, judging will be done by the audience.
Friday night, Sept. 25, John Martin's will throw its first ever Green Party that will "roll out the green carpet" for guests who are invited to wear their favorite green attire (St. Patty's Day IS just 6 months away!), green beverages, green beads, decorations and more. As part of their week-long celebration, John Martin's will host several exciting contests, including a drawing for a trip for two to Ireland, staying at the Clontarf Castle!
Saturday, Sept. 26 will feature a live Irish band playing at 9 p.m. And don't miss Sunday, Sept. 27, Open Mic Night, with prizes going to the top three best performers.
