Overtown Music Project, Saturday 1/22

Overtown was once the "Harlem of the South," the epicenter of music in Miami.  It was a vacation spot for Thurgood Marshall and poet Langston Hughes, a place where you were likely to hear Count Basie andAretha Franklin playing music and singing into the wee hours

The Overtown Music Project will try to capture that former glory in an event on January 22nd in a bespoke graffiti garden at Wynwood Kitchen & Bar: 2550 NW 2nd Ave., Miami, FL

$25 donation benefits the Overtown Music Project's scholarship program
