The stage is set for the 3rd Annual Overtown Rhythm & Arts Festival to take place on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in the heart of Miami’s Historic Overtown district, for a day of music, art and delicious food.
For the past two years, Overtown has welcomed over 1,000 visitors during the festival and this year promises to be better than ever. R&B songwriter Q Parker, jazz vocalist Nicole Henry, internationally renowned jazz trumpeter Melton Mustafa, saxophone performer Earnest Walker Jr., Deep Fried Funk, J.J. and the Connections featuring Mr. Lock and the Booker T. Washington Marching Band are some of the acts that will entertain the audience on June 22.
Families can bring their little ones for a day of children’s activities, or treat themselves to succulent slabs of authentic BBQ, southern cooking and mouthwatering Caribbean flavors. Visitors can also enjoy the work of local artists in the art fair.
