If I thought about my vacation time wisely this summer, I would say today would be the last day in office until  July 8th, but I didn't think that far ahead...next week is such a slack week so for those of you smarties (or those of you with the brilliant companies who are closed next week...) Happy Friday!!! Happy Weekend!!!
Friday
Happy Hour with a View- Get off of work, and go sit outside and get your drinks on!

Viernes Culturales- The link isn't updated with today's date...but this event occurs the last Friday of each month in Little Havana. Explore the art, food and culture of Little Havana! Get lost in the side streets and check out the cute Old Florida style houses (though some really could use some renovation work)

Critical Mass Miami- Ride with 2,000+ plus Miamians through the streets of Miami. Today's route will go through Downtown Miami, Edgewater, MiMo, North Bay Village, Miami Beach, Venetian Causeway and back to Downtown Miami. This is not a race!! Enjoy the ride, and take in all the lovely views and new spots along the way.

Hot Nights Cool Jazz at Bass Museum- Jazzy Fridays at one of the nicest museums in Miami Beach.

Saturday
Downtown Miami Block Party- In case you've never really explored Downtown (fear instilled in us locals from when we were younger?)..this block party is your perfect chance to see how Downtown is changing and evolving into an urban lifestyle. I love biking around the old buildings (court house, churches, Olympia theatre) and taking in the beautiful architecture and history we take for granted.

1st Annual Waterloo Balloon Fight at Tobacco Road- Love this idea, love this place. Family friendly and FREE!! Play outside and stay cool in the hot summer sun!!

Sunday
My favorite way to enjoy Sunday is to walk around Pinecrest Gardens Green Market and maybe take a walk at Fairchild Garden. I am also not opposed to a boat day should the weather cooperate!

Other things you can do:
-Eat lunch/dinner at Charles St. on Miami Beach
-Do something in Miami you've never done before, via MIAMI MUSTS!

I think we are now all over Social Media! Follow us!
The two (and a quarter) days we look forward to are finally here!
Welcome back Weekend.
The most talked about events going on this weekend are at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. I didn't get a chance to blog about it..but the New Times has you covered on all foodie events here.

Happy hunting foodies!

Onto other weekend fun events to check out!

Friday:
Critical Mass Miami
2,000+ bikers riding through Miami. Friday's route goes through Little Havana, Coral Way, Coral Gables and Downtown

Viernes Culturales Little Havana
In what's posed to be Miami's next Artsy Brooklyn, come check out the culture, art, music and fun night in Little Havana. While here, check out local Miami artist, Danny "Krave" Fila's new art studio grand opening

Saturday:
South Miami Arts Festival
The streets of Sunset Drive will be filled, showcasing local Miami artists and their work. Admission is free, and if hungry, there are plenty of great restaurants in the area to sit, drink and relax in!
(Some of our faves: Whisk, George's, Sports Grill, Town, RA Sushi)

Tobacco Road's Tomatina Festival
All that is needed is a run with the bulls and this Tomatina Festival would compete with Pamplona's Running with the Bulls. Make sure to wear clothes that you don't mind never seeing again, bring goggles, and leave your change of clothes in the car. Amazing stress reliever..and free ketchup?

Virginia Key Grassroots Festival
Music, Camping, Art, Meditation, Yoga, Sustainability Fair and more at this 4 day Festival in Historic Virginia Key

Wynwood Farmers' Market
Youth L.E.A.D Miami trained youths will be selling organic, locally grown fresh produce/veggies at this Farmers Market. Stop by Panther Coffee for amazingly fresh and tasty brew.

Sunday:

If you brave the traffic and parking and make it to the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, be sure to pick up a pair of the cutest Havaianas sandals!!
