Features a farmer’s market, "green" vendors booths, workshops, demonstrations on variety of “earth-friendly” topics, contests and activities for kids and adults, interactive and environmental educational opportunities, garden tours, school performances and fashion shows. Includes different workshops on green topics and demonstrations of Tai Chi and yoga. Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops present planting exhibitions, and the Youth Advisory Council organizes the entertainment, including school performances, a fashion show and a talent show. The Pinecrest village also sponsors an Earth Day Art Contest for area school children, designed to educate and motivate the community to make “Earth Day Every Day”. Entries will be exhibited in the Historical Entrance Building. Judging categories are photography, sculpture and poetry. One winner selected in each category and gifted with a $125 Apple gift card.
