The funniest people you may never have heard of (yet), The Have-Nots team up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to produce a comedy benefit to raise funds to help cancer patients across South Florida, including the night’s honoree — 16-year-old Anthony Schiappa Pietra, a student at Palmer Trinity School who is battling Non-Hodgkins T-Cell Lymphoma.
The Comedy Benefit for Anthony Pietra and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be held on Friday, May 6 at Buck 15 (above Miss Yip Chinese Café), at their new location at 437 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. The performance is free to the public, with a $5 suggested donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; showtime is at 8:30pm. Full menu options from Miss Yip Chinese Café are available to all guests.
The lineup of comedians includes a showcase of Miami’s hottest comics, including Dominic Perenzin, fresh off his appearance at The 6th Annual South Beach Comedy Festival; Franky Arriola, founder of Nap Dog Media; and Daniel Reskin, ("That's Reskin, like foreskin without the fo") the brainchild behind Sweat Records’ Casa de Haha and WFOR-CBS 4 Miami’s “Best Local Comic 2011.”
This night of laughs is headlined by Jessica Gross and is hosted by The Have-Nots’ own Jay Mays. Party sounds by DJ V2 will also be part of the night’s entertainment.
