As part of YoungArts Miami, the National YoungArts Foundation will inaugurate public performances at their new national headquarters on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, formerly the Bacardi campus, which YoungArts and Artistic Advisor Frank Gehry are transforming into a thriving arts and cultural center. These first public performances and readings will take place on Friday, April 12 at 7pm and 9pm on the 7th Floor as part of the “YoungArts Jazz Club” in the Tower building. Winners will also present their work to the public through a free performance at the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts directed by renowned actor, musician and choreographer Malcolm Gets, and an exhibition guest curated by Miami Art Museum’s Director, Thom Collins at BFI (Bas Fisher Invitational).
