Curated by the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE, HistoryMiami will host the Bob Marley Messenger exhibition from October 11, 2013 - January 5, 2014. Miami is the last stop of the traveling exhibition before it travels to Marley's birthplace, Nine Mile in Jamaica. Bob Marley Messenger explores Marley as a private, spiritual man, as a powerful performer whose lyrics gave voice to the disenfranchised and as a legend who continues to inspire legions of fans since his death more than 30 years ago.

Bob Marley Messenger brings together diverse artifacts, rare photographs and more from the private collection of the Marley family. On display, visitors will see a broad array of items like Marley's famous Les Paul guitar, photographs of Marley both on and off stage, ticket stubs, concert posters, tour books, fan memorabilia and interactive exhibit.

The exhibition will open at HistoryMiami with an opening celebration on Thursday, October 10 at 7 p.m. featuring local reggae band Jahfe, followed by a family festival on Saturday, October 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.

General admission for adults is $8, seniors and students with ID are $7, children ages six - 12 are $5 and children under six free. Don't miss it!
