CRAFT: SPIRITS & BEER 

Three Day Program Includes Tasting Gallery Experience and Panel Discussions at Soho Studios Wynwood and an Offsite Masters’ Dinner Series 

 CRAFT: Spirits & Beer (CRAFT), a namesake three day program concentrating on the beverage industry's fastest growing segment announces their roster for industry and public festivities.
 The event takes place Nov. 8 – 10 and is anchored by a tasting gallery experience on Nov. 9.
 Other educational offerings include panel discussions and a series of masters’ dinners hosted by some of the industry’s most influential beverage specialists with proceeds benefitting the Florida Craft Distillers Guild and Florida Brewers Guild. 


Taking over Soho Studios (2136 NW 1st Avenue) in Miami’s hipster Wynwood district, CRAFT will showcase best-in-show artisanal spirits and beers. Curated by a distinguished advisory board, each producer has been carefully evaluated to ensure the perfect blend. An exciting line up of exhibitors includes brands like Brooklyn Brewery, Koval, Dry Fly Distilling, Benromach Distillery, Balcones, Miami Club Rum, Atsby Vermouth, Cape Distillers, Compass Box and Tuthilltown Spirits.

· Tasting Gallery Experience, Nov. 9
 Enjoy a true craft experience with unique beverages perfectly paired with some of the city’s most authentic eats including Cacao Art Chocolates, The Daily Melt, Illegal Bakery, Saucy Stache and Cabot cheese. Additionally, Earls Kitchen + Bar, the Canadian-based, family-owned independent restaurant group, coming to South Miami in 2014, will will showcase libations from their custom, craft cocktail program. 

Tickets for the Tasting Gallery Experience can be purchased for $50 per person for general admission (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) or $75 per person for VIP admission (2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

· Educational Panel Discussions, Nov. 9
Four panel discussions taking place throughout the Tasting Gallery Experience will cover on trend topics like The Art of Scotch Whisky Blending with John Glaser and Northern Whites: The Heart(s) of the Matter. Tickets for seminars range in price and start at $25 per person. 

· Masters’ Dinner Series, Nov. 8 and Nov. 10
Taking place on Friday and Sunday night, dinners are $150 per person and are both educational and intimate. Dinners include Artisanal Cognacs at Copper Box with host Nicolas Palazzi; American Craft Whisky at Michael's Genuine Food and Drink with Chuck Cowdery; and Balcones Whiskey Pairing Dinner at Yardbird with Chip Tate.

· Craft Cocktail BBQ Brunch, Nov. 10
James Beard-nominated mixologists Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta of The Broken Shaker will host a craft cocktail barbecue, sponsored by High West, St. George, Dry Fly and Tapatio. The event is complimentary and invite only.

“As we have seen over the past decade with food, both in our homes and restaurants, people are more aware and concerned with knowing the source of what they consume and how it’s made. The farm-to-table movement is really a nod to old processes, a step back in time,” says Massolo. “With CRAFT, I hope to bridge a similar gap, one that grows the understanding of- and appreciation for- small batch spirits and beers being made with great care; many, following family recipes, helping revive their surrounding community or following historic and traditional guidelines.”
