Join us November 8, 2014 for this all-day, family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness in celebration of the Maker movement. This year we’re having a full-on street festival where makers of all stripes (artists, engineers, entrepreneurs and educators) will show what they have made and share what they have learned with an expected audience of close to 3,000 attendees.
MIAMade seeks to foster and support a sustainable manufacturing and DIY community in the Greater Miami area. MIAMade will connect innovators and entrepreneurs, promote hackerspaces and locally-made products, and help develop the most diverse urban manufacturing sector in the Americas. Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.
