Movies on the Plaza presents: Grown Ups 2

The all-star ensemble Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade return for the Grown Ups sequel. Lenny (Sandler) has relocated his family to his Connecticut hometown where he and his friends grew up. Now, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school.

Movies on the Plaza presents: Scrooged
Scrooged, a modernization of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Bill Murray stars as television executive Frank Cross, the meanest and most depraved man on earth. Cross plots his foulest move for the Christmas holiday, when he forces his office staff to mount a live production of A Christmas Carol on national television -- and thus work through Christmas Eve. Cross's life is turned upside down with visits from the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, which lead Frank to realize he must change.

 A film based on the true story of Wladyslaw Szpilman (Adrien Brody), a Polish Jewish classical pianist who struggles to survive the destruction of the Warsaw ghetto of World War II. As Wladyslaw and his family are selected for deportation to a Nazi concentration camp, Wladyslaw goes into hiding in an apartment provided by a friend. However, when his friend goes missing, Wladyslaw is left to fend for himself and he spends the next several years dashing from one abandoned home to another, desperate to avoid capture by German occupation troops.

Movies on the Plaza presents Disney's family horror comedy, Hocus Pocus staring Bette Midler, Sara Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as a 17th century family of witches who are inadvertently resurrected after 300 years by a teenager named Max (Omri Katz) along with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and classmate Allison (Vinessa Shaw). Back from the dead, the three witches are back ready for a night of fun, magic and horror in the now modern area of Salem.

Movies on the Plaza presents: Grease, a musical film that tells the story of two lovers, Danny and Sandy in a 1950s high school. Local boy Danny Zuko and vacationing Sandy Olsson meet at the beach and fall in love. When the summer comes to an end, Sandy, who is going back to Australia, frets that they may never meet again. After her parents decide not to return to Australia, Sandy enrolls at Rydell High School. Sandy and Danny split, reconcile, and split again amidst a pep rally, dances, drive-ins, a drag race and climactic carnival.

The Bourne films are based on Robert Ludlum’s Jason Bourne novels. The Bourne Legacy, the fourth installment in the series, stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, and Edward Norton. In The Bourne Legacy, Aaron Cross, a member of a black ops program whose agents are genetically enhanced, goes on the run once Bourne’s actions lead to the public exposure of Operations Treadstone and Blackbriar (Wikipedia).

This month Brickell World Plaza presents The Muppets. When Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) discover the wicked plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater, they help Kermit reunite the Muppets to stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater.
