Jimbo's 87th Birthday at Gramp's

Gone are the days of celebrating Jimbo's Birthday at Jimbo's on Virginia Key.

The City of Miami was quick to turn his eclectic and historic stomping grounds into an EMPTY PARK once that lease expired. Nevertheless, the tradition continues. Happy 87th Jimbo!

Jimbo will be there for a very short time at around noon to celebrate!!!

Virginia Key Beach Park Eco-Bike Tour

February 17, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Explore historic Virginia Key on this beautiful bike tour with eco-historian Frank Schena. Learn about the unique history of the beach as a county-designated African American beach before the Civil Rights Amendment of 1964, and how the park became historically designated. See how the 82.5 acre park was restored by the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust and examine flora and fauna along the way. Tour price does not include $5 park admission. Bring your own bike.
