San Sebastian Block Party at Havana 1957, Brickell
2pm-4am
The Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian, an infamous street party held on Calle San Sebastian in Old San Juan, brings its traditions to Miami for a high-spirited party filled with the best of music, food, dancing, artisan market, and of course, lots of drinking.
Hosted by Julian Gil, visitors may enjoy complimentary samples of Rums of Puerto Rico from 6pm to 12am, along with all day live music by Rebecca Pla and Paradiso, Puerto Rico’s hit-maker DJ Phred and Pleneros with many more surprises.
From those humble beginnings, the festival has grown exponentially and draws hundreds of thousands of tourists and locals to the old city. It also attracts a small army of artisans, musicians, performers, food stalls and other vendors, making it one serious block party that has become a religious, cultural, and social event unlike any other in Puerto Rico, certainly worth the celebration.
